Cartridge Art – My Famicase Exhibition 2022

I was very happy to be part of My Famicase Exhibition once again! This year’s design is Crepe Crusader – Delicious Fantasy. My design was displayed at METEOR at Nishiogi-kita, Tokyo along with over 200 works from other artists across Japan and the world. The exhibition ran from April 29th to May 31st, 2022.

This design is an homage to the countless Dragon Quest-inspired RPG that flooded the Famicom library with cute food theme. I took a lot of inspiration from other famous Famicom label design tropes like the illustration frame being intersected by some of the logos and slightly dipping out of the frame.
