Cartridge Art – My Famicase Exhibition 2020

I was able to join My Famicase Exhibition once again! This year my design was Fridge Fossil Fighters! My design, along with over 200 other works from artists around the world, was displayed at METEOR in Nishiogi-kita, Tokyo!

This time around I borrowed some design elements from my last entry ねるTHON! and similarly came up with the name before thinking too much about the design. I thought describing old food left in the refrigerator for too long as “fridge fossils” was funny enough to crank out this design with its powerfully alliterative title.

All-in-all, I don’t consider this my favorite Famicase design so far but am happy with it overall. I particularly enjoyed the detailed Famicom Pulse inspired refrigerator in the background and the colorful and goofy character designs.
